I had the privilege of studying under Amy while completing my 200hr yoga teacher training. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I always appreciated that Amy's presence was very grounding & welcoming.

She has a gift for creating a safe space that also pushes you out of your comfort zone and invites you to step into your personal power.

I wouldn't be the yoga teacher, or person I am today without her guidance, and support, and love.

-Amy Cooper, eRYT200 -

No one tells you when sign up for teacher training that it will be just as challenging mentally as it is physically. Likely even more so.

Training under Amy was truly a joy in both respects. She provided invaluable training and coaching when it came to teaching, in such a supportive and caring way.

But even more rewarding was how she pushed you internally, to do more, to discover more, to sit in the uncomfortable. Most importantly, she provide a safe space for her students to able to this. If one doesn’t trust their teacher, there is no room for growth. Amy’s students always trust her.

My teacher training would not have been the experience it was without Amy. She has been my teacher for years and I will never stop learning from her.  That is the sign of a great teacher.

Amy Farahay has been a driving force behind my love for yoga since some of the first times I stepped on my mat. Her classes taught me patience & discipline all while encouraging me to go a little further every class.

When I made the decision to train as a yoga instructor, it was Amy who encouraged me to sign up and take my yoga to the next level. I learned from her the importance of simplicity in cues and phrasing, in offering accessible poses & the importance of making connections with students.

Her strength and trust in herself helped me build my own confidence in myself & her support and mentorship was fundamental in my growth as a teacher.

Years later I'm still building my career off the basics that Amy taught me and I share many of the lessons I learned throughout our years of training together.

Hello, I'm Amy..

At 42, a mother of two, life has been anything but easy. Amidst the chaos, yoga has been my steadfast rock, guiding me through obstacles and bringing me back to myself. I believe that the path to overcoming challenges lies within, and others join us to provide experiences and perspectives that reveal different facets of ourselves.

My journey began at 16 when I stumbled into my first yoga class, clueless and uncertain. It took years of exploring various classes until yoga truly resonated with me in my early twenties during a challenging period. This pivotal moment led me to discover the importance of connecting with the right teacher – a connection crucial for a meaningful yoga journey.

By the age of 23, I found myself unexpectedly leading yoga classes, despite lacking formal training. My classes flourished, reflecting my commitment to moving bodies, connecting breath, and offering a glimpse of freedom to those in need. Life took a turn as I returned to Ohio, starting anew, filing for divorce, and working long hours for minimal pay.

Despite a brief hiatus from yoga during this period, it remained in the back of my mind. Circumstances led me to become a stay-at-home mom, a role I thought I always wanted but soon realized I desired more from life. Determined to reintegrate yoga into my life, I joined GoYoga in Columbus, Ohio, where I eventually became Director of Operations.

Driven to share my passion, I helped expand GoYoga to multiple locations and introduced teacher training programs. Eventually, I ventured into teaching yoga teacher training to studio owners, assisting them in growing their own training programs. This experience shaped my entrepreneurial spirit, leading me to connect with studio owners, help them run successful teacher training programs, and bridge the gap between artistic vision and business acumen.

Personal growth has been an ongoing theme in my life, marked by milestones such as becoming a Lululemon ambassador, attending landmark seminars, and continually pushing my boundaries.

In 2018, a tragic accident claimed my younger sibling's life, and my journey took a profound spiritual turn. Yoga became more than physical exercise; it became a lifeline, helping me navigate grief, find my breath, and discover profound truths about myself.

Teaching has always been a piece of me. I find joy in helping others perfect their gift and relight their light so that they can shine with the world.

From my perspective, the best yoga teachers that I have ever encountered were not merely teaching me downward facing dog. They were guiding me to slow down and see how I, AMY, show up in the world.

How I show up on the mat is a mirrored reflection of how I show up in the world.

An amazing teacher takes you deeper, beyond the pose; they help you find the depth of yoga. Once you discover that piece, you're unstoppable.

Students come to the same teacher because they believe in that teacher and connect with them. That teacher is creating connection by sharing the depth in the practice from their perspective, which comes from experience, vulnerability, and taking a step back from downward dog to look within

I am here to guide you through a deeper, soulful exploration of yoga. My goal is to help you uncover your true self, overcome internal obstacles, and write the next chapters of your life with authenticity and purpose.

Throughout this training, I commit to being transparent, honest, and supportive. We will experience highs and lows together, and I encourage you to embrace the process, knowing that each weekend holds the promise of personal transformation. I believe in your ability to walk away from this training with a renewed perspective on life and a deeper understanding of yourself.

I'm excited to be on this journey with you!
